On Sunday December 16th, under the beautiful starlight, the Hollywood ArtsPark celebrated a Spanish culture night in Florida.
The Hollywood Community in partnership with the Rhythm Foundation launched Viva Florida 500, a year-long celebration of Spain’s 500-year history in Florida.
The main event of the evening was provided by Spanish flamenco singer Antonio Carmona. A special Spanish gastronomic experience animated the park, with delicious Spanish cuisine, including paella and wine. The night also included music from Bikini Jazz and a special show from Baila Flamenco along with activities for kids.
The event was free and open to the public.
The Spain-Florida Foundation 500 Years, was present at the event alongside Viva Florida 500 by providing information about our mission and the various events planned for 2013 and was able to generate interest and sign up volunteers.
